The valley of gods! That's what kullu valley is always referred to as. This is because of the mythological beliefs the people of Himachal always take pleasure in reciting to the tourist.
Situated on the banks of the river Beas, Kullu, serves, as the main part of the valley and it is the head quarter of the Himachals too. Right next to the Himalayas, Kullu-Manali offers good opportunities of soft, medium and hard trekking.

Kothi is a picturesque spot, at the foot of the Rohtang pass, situated on the Lahaul-Spiti Leh Highway. It offers a magnificent view of the snow-capped peaks and glaciers and a dread-stirring gorge where the Beas enters a rift about sixty meters deep.
Tibetan Market and Mall is a cluster of shops to look around around for knick knacks, handicrafts and imported goods. Located on the Mall. The Mall also has other shops selling local handicrafts and clothes. It has some good restaurants. vehivles are easily available from the Mall for local sightseeing or excursions.
Rohtang Pass is situated 51 kms outside Manali is the mighty Rohtang Pass. There is Dashohar Lake left of the pass.
Solang Valley is 13 kms outside Manali, offering spectacular views of the snow-clad mountains and the glaciers. Solang is the site for paragliding and the annual skiing courses.
Roerich Art Gallery museum, houses a collection of the paintings by a Russian artist. It is located in a grove of Deodhars and is very serene and picturesque.
